Even though apples are grown throughout Himachal Pradesh, the bulk of the produce comes from lower altitude farms in Solan/Shimla. The higher altitudes are harder to reach, grow apples, harvest and manage logistics. However it is well worth the effort and the wait since the unique crisp texture, natural aroma and distinctive taste is unmatched.
