A warm and welcome to the first flowering of 2022 season at AAMRAI, Ratnagiri. Amidst the rain showers that keep occurring on and off at our farms, the intermittent cold weather has sprouted the first flowering last week. We have seen the flowering across our orchards in various parts of South Ratnagiri – Gavkadi, Pavas, Velas, Kasheli and Pali. Some flowering is also visible in our orchards in North Ratnagiri in Kelshi, Dapoli and Guhagar as well.
The quality and quantity of flowering is particularly good in our older organic farms and this should bear fruit in about 4 months in March. There is still a long way to go and a lot will depend on the ensuing winter season, any more rain showers/cyclonic conditions and finally the early start to the summer season. However based on the current situation we are hopeful for a good start of the mango season towards mid to end of March.
